It's an employment gap has nothing to do with color, race, or gender. This hidden employment gap is present across the U.S, and is due to many factors, including family circumstances, location, inability to travel to access well-paying jobs, or simply lack of awareness.
Many underemployed individuals are unaware of how much they can be earning, and are therefore locked into the minimum-wage jobs that they have worked at for years.
Our goal is to effect change through training and opening options to those who believe they cannot earn more and who are unaware of the skills they bring to the table. By rewarding skills, hard work, and motivation with reasonable wages, we can begin to end the cycle of poverty for the neediest in our midst and empower them to become independent contributors to the economy.
